An hour's notice, no job or person spec just "Turn up".

It lasted over an hour and consisted of talking about snow, traffic, heating systems, the job (I was being pushy and insisted on bringing it up), home broadband, PC World, coffee, office windows (that is neither an operating system nor a suite of applications) and more snow.

So I think it went well.

After all, it is important when on the bench to make the effort to get washed, dressed and out of the house once in a while, and it achieved that function!

And sometimes the recruiter wants someone they can get on with and I thin we covered that ground very well.
