I wanted to get the 50000 during the day yesterday but had to prepare for and do a telephone interview.

I fought toothache from about 3pm to midnight to try to get the 50000.

I fought VirginMedia for hours yesterday evening to try to get 50000.

I got summoned to bed by a poorly wife when within 90 posts of 50000.

I had the alarm set for 6 a.m. so I could get up and finish the job of getting to 50000 - the wife had too bad a night for me to do that to her so I crept out of bed and turned it off ... "come back to bed". Damn.

So I got up at 7:30 to find my PC had locked up. Start rebooting, open Firefox, ... "Can I have a cup of tea...?" Damn.

Open the TPD thread ... "Are you all right - you seem distracted?" Damn.

Get here to see we are up to 50008. AAARRRRGGGHHHH.

BrilloPad had sat there and drivelled and drivelled and drivelled and drivelled. Just like I had been wanting to for the previous 8 hours.

If I had been sniped by someone at the 50000, I'd have tracked the facker down and torn their facking head off.

So, I'm not the TPD-Police, oh no. I just dish out bananananas. But I DESPERATELY wanted and tried to get the 50,000th TPD post.

And I reckon BrilloPad got the 50000.

A post was then deleted, so that BrilloPad got 50000.

There were only two users in TPD at that time - myself and BrilloPad.

I have eyewitnesses that saw my 50000 post.
