Where I found that the train in front had stalled and there were no trains going through there. Queues out onto the pavement, as the station was full and they weren't letting any more people through.Comment

So, I walked 15 minutes down to the next tube station.
Before getting through the gates, I asked the friendly TfL man if the tube was running OK, as it wasn't down the road (same line) and he told me it was, and the train would be in in a minute.Comment
