'Working' at home today. So time to get the wood burner up and running for the winter. I'll think of you all as I sit here all cosy.

Bugger... new contract start on Monday = long commute & possibly stay away.
anyone done 125 miles each way (nearly all motorway) as a daily commute?
wonder if my 10year old 4x4 is up to it?
wonder if I'm up to it!How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't thinkComment

I do 80 miles each way 4 days per week. 1 3/4 hours each way. Been doing it for 15 months and just bearable becuase the gig is great, the cash is good and they are 'flexible' about working hours. Every now and again I do a month on the train to break the monotony.Originally posted by Troll View PostBugger... new contract start on Monday = long commute & possibly stay away.

I was doing 50 miles each way 4 or 5 days a week, anything from 1 to 2 hours each way depending on the traffic. Did it for Nearly 2 years and by the end I'd had enough. Now doing less than 20 miles each way and it's great."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment

Are there any amusing and/or slightly immoral things you can do to an etch tank while waiting for it to do its stuff? How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't thinkComment
