I think it's termed paralysis by analysis.
Phoned DVLA and managed to get hold of customer services after the sixteenth time of being cut off.
I explained that I was taking the car away on hol's tomorrow,They said that because I insured online it may take up to three weeks for my insurance details to be entered onto their database or some such nonsense. She said just go to the post office and tax it. I pointed out that I had tried that and they would not accept a printout off the computer, and my cover note would take three to five days to reach my home.
