Watched Soul last night - it's very good and Eek twin b liked the soundtrack

Tonight may be Wonder Woman 1984 but I suspect the Blue Monday trailer is better than the film as a whole.

      Morning.

      Grey.

      Drizzly.

      Dark.

      Dire.

      Damp.

      Sunless.

Bit warmer at 16 deg in here.

      1019 mBar, 30.1 inHg, and 59% RH.

      Saturday according to reports.

      <hiatus>

Walk walked during which it rained on me a bit.

      Freecell score: Not Going Well.

Lunch: Heinz tomato soup with a hint of chilli with Morrisons sunflower and pumpkin seed bread, bramble jelly sandwich on same, yellow corner yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea, and some Quality Street.

I wish they wouldn't give me sweets since I have little or no self control which is why I never buy any.

      <hiatus>

Freecell score: 88%, running average 84% (:eye 83.58something).

Afternoon entertainment: Tudur Owen's TV flashback: Art.

      Not stunningly funny or inneresting.

Tea: spag bol, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: bits of "Joe Kidd (1972)" with that Clinton Eastwood dude (bowler hat? very late in the day).

Possibly bits of "The Repair Shop" since there a stereogram on it.

Then: anything I can find that's vaguely inneresting (if possible),

Clint is about to fire a rifle he's never used before at a range of several hundred yards.

One shot one kill of course.

According to those who know it's a Canadian Ross Model 1910 (custom) in .280 nitro express.

      2900 ft/sec. Impressive for 1910.

Even more unlikely since the film is set around 1900 so It Hadn't Been Invented Yet.

      Glad we've cleared that up.

Now: "Sounds of the Sixties" "How It Is": The Nice: America, complete with Lemmy's Nazi daggers stuck in the Hammond organ keyboard.

Now Jimi Hendrix doing his thing: "Voodoo Chile".

After more dross including the who and the moody fecking blues "ride my seesaw", we're on to "Wild Thing" with Jimi Hendrix.

Looks like the cameraman was on acid.

Now it's "The Pink Floyd" from 1969: Set the controls for the heart of the sun.

Looks like the camera was borked coz it's all in shades of red.

Fleetwod Mac "Oh well" 1969. (Peter Green era).

      Some other dross.

"Hey Joe" Jimi Hendrix (introduced by Lulu).

morfing into "Sunshine of your love" when got bored with "Hey Joe".

      Cream: "Sunshine of your love".

Followed by Joni Mitchel just for contrast, like.

      "Big Yellow Taxi".

Then a Queen concert from around the "Highlander" time on Pick.

      "Who want's to live forever?".

      Now turned off.

      The gale has arisen.

The barometer has dropped like a stone from 1017 mbar to 992 mbar since this afternoon.

The chimney is howling away like a good 'un.

And it sounds as if it's raining just a tad.

          Morning all

Dry and bright out but overcast. Currently 7 degrees (feels like 4 apparently) and will reach a high of 10. No rain today but it is expected overnight. Barometer down to 1020 mBar.

          Today's Kantar diary fact is:

Decided to work my way through the pile of defunct hard drives and wipe them.

Next I might take apart the defunct PCs cluttering up a corner of my living room (there's only two).

Does anyone know of a proper recycling solution for this stuff?

Discovered RBKC have a mini WEEE recycling point up at Holland Park so I'm going to take a stroll up there and see if that's a viable drop off once i've taken things apart. I have a hunch it'll all end up on an Indian/Philippine beach or in landfill - I may do a FOI request to the council to find out where it goes
