Having designed a pcb I've just had to look for a box to fit it into.

I think I've done this the wrong way round.

However, a box of suitable dimensions has been found.

Oh FFS

Went down to the cellar and turned the water off. (There's a stop valve on the pipe leading to the cistern, but it's so incredibly difficult to turn that I'd risk breaking the pipe.)

Come all the way back up. Try a tap: no water. Jolly good.

Approach the cistern. I know from last night that holding the handle down will open the defective valve such that the water drains, very slowly.

Press handle. Toilet flushes vigorously.

Muttering darkly, I go back down to the cellar and turn the water back on.

Back up again. Try again. Toilet flushes better than it has for weeks.

Anybody want an unpackaged, but unused, replacement flush valve?
