I once got into a chat with a chap in the Bayshill Inn in Cheltenham, which ended with me persuading him that the thing he needed to make a UI for his code library was Delphi, not Visual Basic. Turned out it was a library of Fortran code for analysing low frequency radio signals. I hadn't realised that the Bayshill was where a load of GCHQ types hung outComment
