The DBA team keep saying "we've switched AAA off while we run the script" (where AAA is the name of the product).

I have no idea what they are doing when they say this.

All I can say is that it's impossible to "switch off" AAA. It doesn't work like that.

The only way they can "switch it off" would be to shutdown the database and then open it in a restricted mode to stop anyone connecting without having DBA privileges.
