Why is it when you want to have a lie in, you wake up at exactly the time you would have if your alarm was set.

Dunno, but I do it every Saturday & Sunday.

If I'm really lucky, it'll be 5:15 & I can listen to the last 30 seconds of the World Service before R4 leaps into action.

I have the CadStar thing again at 12:00.

Though, looking on the bright side, it's not as traumatic (for me & the kiddies) as the PIC assembler programming thingie I do.

The weekend I sleep in no problem, apart from the furry meowing alarm clock bang on 9.30am (or if I'm unlucky 5am).

Next door's black & white cat thinks he lives with me now.

He desperately wanted to get in out of the rain this morning (been out all night & was soaked).

Sadly, I had to decline his request.

                Ho hum.

I got slapped on the face once.

Mr N gets the feed me wake up call, which involves one of them sticking their paw in his water and flicking it in his face or poking him in the nose.

One of mine would crawl under the duvet and sink her teeth and claws into my toes. Until one day I reflexively kicked out in response and she hit the opposite wall with loud thud. After that she would sit on my face instead. I shouldn't complain, it was the only pussy likely to end up there at the time.
