I'd wait until you get to the point in your Buffy viewing at which the Angel spinoff kicks off - season 4 I think. There are some really subtle (and not so subtle) sync-ups if I recall correctly (the corresponding Buffy/Angel seasons were originally aired together on Sky).

A plan that works well in theory, but is scuppered by the fact that I haven't brought season 2 of Buffy with me this week.

There's not much sync-up until Faith returns, IIRC - and I can remember pretty much they whole Buffy storyline anyway.

Must order the later books at some stage, though.

There's not much sync-up until Faith returns, IIRC - and I can remember pretty much they whole Buffy storyline anyway.

One *really* subtle link up is very early on where Buffy answers the phone at home, but the line is quiet. In the corresponding Angel episode he gets interrupted just as he's making a phone call to Buffy, and puts the phone down.

There's also an episode where Willow travels to LA, and another where I think Angel sends one of his cohorts to a Buffy episode with a warning.

My memory for useless detail surprises even me sometimes.
