In no particular order, the cross-overs I can remember:

Buffy comes to LA after Faith.

Willow comes to LA to tell Angel that Buffy has died. There's a few around this - I think Willow rings Angel to tell him that Buffy is no longer dead, and maybe he goes to visit for a bit.

Angel goes to Sunnydale when the Indians attack at Thanksgiving. Buffy then visits LA to tell him she is annoyed with him for not saying hello when he was in town.

Oz takes the ring that gives vampires immortality to Angel in LA.

Angel sends the amulet to Buffy for the big battle, Spike wears it, then the amulet gets sent to Wolfram & Hart at the start of Angel series 5.

Lots of viewing there to be had

Yeah, those were quite early on - pre-Faith going to LA. To be honest I'd forgotten that Faith went to LA in season 1 though - I thought that was later.

And in related new, Joss Whedon is apparently being lined up to direct The Avengers...

I'm told Marvel Studios is in final negotiations for Buffy the Vampire Slayer series architect Joss Whedon to direct Marvel Studios' The Avengers. That's the fast-tracked film that would amount to an all-star team of Marvel superheros, including Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), as well as SHIELD leader Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Other signature superheros will likely be involved, but I've listed the actors in active superhero duty.
