three.co.uk is supposedly intended for use by mobilie phones, and will give you a NAT'ed connection, but my original Three dongle came configured with this APN.

I've since switched to 3internet, which will give you a public IP address, and I believe this is the recommended APN these days (if not by Three then certainly by the "community" from what I can tell).

I was pleasantly surprised that I could use my Three mobile broadband at home the other day (when my broadband connection experienced an outage). I seldom get a mobile signal there with Orange, but I managed to get a 3Mbps connection on Three.
