Permie!
Still, it sounds like a promising opportunity, and they aren't very thick on the ground these days - best of luck if you decide to go for it

OK thanks - in Cambridge until Christmas. Not sure if there's any likelihood of that being extended. It's all a bit odd at the moment - the project I'm on has been sort of put on the back burner; it can't really progress until the other chaps get a server application built, and a number of people have been moved sideways onto an upgrade to an existing application.
I've been twiddling my thumbs quite a bit, and when I ask for something to do the response tends to involve a bit of umming and aahing, followed by a suggestion that I could look into some vaguely-specified nice-to-have featurette, if I wanted to. Still, they're paying me so that's OK
Of course this could mean that, when the other things are sorted out, the momentum will pick up again resulting in an extension. Otherwise, come the New Year, I'm going to take at least a month off to get properly into iPhone app development - it looks like a promising area, if one can deliver something better than the 95% garbage apps that are out there. I've got a few ideas which might fly, so fingers crossed
