It isn't actually wrong for me to read it on a Friday night as I've never been (nor wanted to be) a Win32 developer; I read his stuff for pleasure. It has nothing to do with work, it's just fascinating - he's an astonishingly talented individual.
Somebody once asked on his blog what his position was at Microsoft. He doesn't respond to such questions () but one of his colleagues replied "Raymond's the wizard; that's what he does."
