What is this "rain" of which you speak?

    Morning.

    Friday apparently.

    Dry.

    Sunny.

    Blue sky.

Curiously chilly breeze blowing through the house: 20.8 deg in here, 22.6 in the kitchen, 20 in the leanto, 14 out the back. .

1013 mBar, 29.91 in Hg, 759.8 Torr, 14.69 psi, (up from 1011 last night), 56% RH (Lidl electric: it must be borked).

Meanwhile on the 2nd of April 2020, between 08:20 and 08:54, Brillo and barrydidit discussed the Cymraeg for "cup of tea".

Odd dream before waking: punched cards for programming a ?Monitor 3? automatic tester for testing 2n4392. WTAF? That was over 40 years ago.

Walk (abbreviated: 3 miles) walked in the pleasant breeze and sunshine. Spoke to a bird watching lady re the yellow bird of some 2 months ago.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: Food Programme: the octopus bloom. Introducing the Octodog as another way of getting rid of them.

Nothing on Sky Arts today. . Book.

Entertainment: Jack Hargreaves Old Country: Driving (horse & trap: posh & not so), more ancient iron junk & unknown items.

Unexplained Evidence: more UFO bollox on Blaze: this one graced by the presence of Derek von Heiniken which is never a good sign. Alien impregnation. UFO obser ved by chap & daughter in the DDR: escapes to West Berlin & tells his tale to the CIA: was it yet another of those miraculour Nazi weapons that would have defeated the Allies given another 3 months? As feckin if. Did Albert Einstein take a look at the Roswell crash? Etc. Etc. Etc.

Bab5 S2 E17 "Knives". The final ep not written by JMS until sometime in S5.

Taggart S15 E1 "A few bad men". Robbie Ross turns up for the first time. Lots of dead bodies. Even more than usual. Plus an undead horse.

      Morning all

Blue sky with high level wispy fluff. A gentle breeze wafts. Currently 21 degrees ('feels like' 24) with a high of 25 expected. Barometer up to 1019 mBar.

      Sunrise 05:23; Sunset 20:51 BST

Yesterday evening I met friends for cocktails in the Corinthia Hotel, Whitehall. Very good they were too. I do like a good hotel bar. Got home after midnight (as we had to go to Thunderbird Chicken afterwards), went to bed after 1am. Woke at 5.15am feeling a bit fuzzy headed, slept in until 10am. It's a good job I don't have a job

Then just as I was sorting out a spot of presenteeism for billing purposes, the door bell went. I thought it was Amazon delivering. Sadly, it was some people from the local 'Kingdom Hall' trying to recruit more suckers. Got rid of them quickly and saved the lad upstairs from talking to them by telling them he wasn't in.

Just think: there's a mere 21 pages of the 2nd of April 2020 to get through. .

Stone me: niall is still posting on nedprod: he's building a house or pool or something & found a cave underneath. Well there's another thing.

          Morning denizens

It’s cumulus central out there again today, with plenty of blue gaps so quite sunny too. Currently 21°C but it’ll reach 23° for a bit later; the barometers are up a little at 1006/1014mB

We had a few brief spells of rain yesterday, including a shower while I was driving to the shops. None of it was enough to make a difference to anything, though

            Morning? Afternoon, more like!

Lunch has been the remaining M&S steak slice

Moving in is going on at the far end of the adjacent block, presumably into the top floor flat from which moving out occurred two or three weeks ago

Just had a followup phone call with the pharmacist, who agreed that the new cholesterol drug seems to have been the problem. So I’m staying off that, and he’s going to get back in touch about other options in a month or so, as he figured it was sensible to leave some time to be sure I’ve fully recovered from whatever it was doing to me

Tea has been a pork cutlet with chips and beans

To go along with it, a further episode of Murder 24/7 in which a bloke stabbed his ex-partner to death after taking the kids to school, then calmly called the police to turn himself in

Went with loony lady 1 on bus to Eastbourne today. Was rather hotter than we hoped but trip was interesting, better view from top deck than when you are driving.

Ah! There's a dead bird, Woodpecker I think, on my front drive. Maybe crashed into my window, but never had that happen at the front of the house before.

Tonight I read more of Parable of the Talents. I get the feeling something bad is going to happen soon

Busy weekend ahead: I’ve got the dentist AND dental hygienist tomorrow, and on Sunday I’m heading south for a barbecue with the family. I wish I hadn’t had to spend about half of my time off waiting for the malign effects of that drug to wear off
