It’s cloudy but not in a grey way - more dappled, high, thin cloud. Not warm though; 2°C that “feels like” -6° due to the wind, and a brief spell of 5° this afternoon as the high spot, though it’ll be even windier - the weather app talks of “wintry conditions from 10:00”. The snow that was predicted for tonight is now expected to be rain instead, which I suppose is something. The barometers are down again at 995/1003mB

Breezy, cold and constant drizzle here. Not a pleasant walk, but it achieved what it needed to.

          Morning.

          Wednesday.

          Dry (currently).

          Grey.

Wanly sunny if you use imagination.

          Windy.

Chilly in here at 12 deg, 10 in the kitchen, 8 in the leanto.

997.5 mBar, 29.456 in Hg, 748.2 Torr, 14.467 psi, (down from 1005 last night), 63% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 17th of March 2020 Brillo, covbob, LM, NF, WTFH and I popped in, though WTFH despatched his mrs to buy all the wine in Dorking, and I found that the road outside was remarkably quiet.

Walk (abbreviated, towpath) walked in the easterly gale. Strewth it was chilly out there.

          Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: my tinnitus

Book. Other book. Other other book. Other other other book that was referred to in other other book and which, by sheer coincidence, was readily available on the bookshelf and will return there but is added to the queue.

Tea: battered cod: dunno if it's battered or breadcrumbed but it's not haddock. Entertainment: PM with more examples to illustrate the incompetence of the governing class. I'd shoot the lot to encourage the others.

At least there's sommat to watch this evening.

Scotland Yard "Inside Information (1957)": the stiff on the November 5th bonfire one.

Abandoned Engineering (probably not since I think the last one was last week).

WWI: the people's story. 3/3. The fight to the end. <click>

Bad Skin Clinic: pustulent goodness. I've now watched enough of these to have achieved 100% in a medical quiz a couple of days ago. . Woman with PCOS and rosacea. Woman with a lipoma. Woman with a keloid on her ear. Chap with astounding psoriasis.

Just realised it's more than 3 years since I stopped cooking stuff. Which is why there are spiders' webs in the oven.

          Elementary S1 E14 "The deductionist".

Part II of the tsunami thing.

Lunch: a ham bap (white). This involved some TTD cranberry & orange glazed ham that I’d forgotten buying last week, and it’s very nice

For tea tonight, the shepherd’s pie I started preparing yesterday. I experimented a bit with the herbs and spices when making this, and it turned out very well

Rain has started and will supposedly continue until around sunrise tomorrow. Not very heavy though, or not yet

Grey and damp out, though the rain has recently stopped and there’s supposed to be some sun making its way through the haze, though it’s also supposed to have turned overcast by 9am. It’s 2°C yet “feels like” -3°, maybe reaching 5° for a bit this afternoon, and the barometers are down some more at 986/994

                  But: Thursday!

Very light drizzle after 6, but that had stopped by 7:45. Didn't hear the dawn chorus for some reason.

                      Morning.

                      Thursday.

                      Damply dry.

                      Calm.

                      Blue sky in parts.

                      Wanly sunny.

Chilly in here at 12.4 deg, 10.5 in the kitchen, 8 in the leanto.

Meanwhile on the 17th of March 2020 AndyGarbs, xogg, LM, NF, and I popped in. It was very quiet out there. LM had health food for lunch. .

                      4 deg in the saltinghouse.

Since it was sunny I did a quick wash, which has been out on the line not drying much ever since. Went grey immediately of course. All would have dried in an instant in yesterday's semigale.

Walk (towpath, unabbreviated) walked in the wan sunshine/grey gloom.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: The Bottom Line: workplace bullying. Oh for 9x19. .
