Pukka steak slice for lunch
And breakfast was a couple of croissants with strawberry jam. Given the number of calories in that lot, I should probably just have something light for tea. But I doubt I will

In part of the “use up everything that is expired” mode, today I’ve made tahini from some sesame seeds marked as best before October 2023 and then used some of it to make hummus with a tin of chickpeas (March 2025)
Next is to make some trout pate from fish I smoked a couple of years ago before putting it in the freezer.
Going to make myself a rhubarb crumble for dessert tonight as I found a pot of rhubarb we had stewed and frozen in 2022.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Nature reserve thing was supposed to be mulching paths but mulch not turn up so went off with another bloke to a nearby nature reserve to clears up piles of apples. Wot fun! Lunch with ll1 was steak and apple crumble, quite chewy.bloggoth
