Got a text message telling me I could book a Covid jab. When I checked the NHS app to do so, it turned out there'd been a message in there about it since the middle of October, which I hadn't seen because I don't make a point of checking the NHS app for messages on the regular

Anyway, all sorted now - getting it done at a nearby pharmacy tomorrow lunchtime

I seem to have picked up a sniffle.

Today's interview was ok. Got through to the next round, where I have to do a presentation about stuff. This is for a FTC role that will require me to be in Crawley 2-3 days a week. However, they have booked the second interview for next week, when I'll be in Seattle.

Lot of it about. If it's anything like whatever I've got, it isn't too bad and doesn't last too long. Fingers crossed!

Tea tonight was chicken madras with rice and naan

I put a bit too much water in the rice machine. "Don't suppose it'll make much difference," I thought. I was wrong, though, so the rice wasn't right. I'll get the hang of it though

Meanwhile on the 28th of November 2019 BR14 was back on the bench after 8 days, the client being unable to support remote working, whereas NF was noting that a couple of s wandered up to the GP's gate, discovered they were shut on Thursday afternoons, then wandered off again, disappointed. (This has twice attended the dentist surgery to change appointments only to find it like the Marie Celeste with one young lady taking any messages. She locks herself in which seems sensible to me).

Grey start again and very damp, though it's unclear whether there's been rain or it's just an extremely heavy dew. Once again it's not too cold for the season of the year, being 9°C rising to 13°. The barometers are up a touch more at 1019/1027mB

Thursday! Just got to get through today and my weekend starts, and then there's only five more weeks to get through before I finish for Christmas!

What? You don't have to travel 14 miles to the other end of the valley to get jabbed? Who'd have thunk?

And there was me getting annoyed that I have to go to a pharmacy that's 0.6 miles away rather than one of the ones that are 0.3 miles away

Curiously enough it was amazingly convenient: X7 up to the pharmacy, waited in queue, jabbed, back out to the bus stop & back down on the same bus. I was almost impressed.

Last year's venture involved a trip to the Avon Centre in what remains of Port Talbot, being a mere 7.3 miles, but the 87 took just as long to get there & the wait for the bus to come back was longer.

What is it with CVs for crappy jobs. Saw a temp job 2 mornings a week till Jan to go to local shops and sort out their greetings cards. Figured I might as well apply cos I'm driving myself mad. "Upload CV" - I mean there's **** all on my CV that's relevant, and what exactly do they expect to see. Can you drive? yes, can you stick cards on a rack? yes. Honestly what are you supposed to put on a CV? Anyway - has made me decide not to bother - I don't need £50 a week that much!
