Tonight's car was an Aston Martin DB7, MOT till August but SORN. Maybe it's just having a little rest.
And more gold hunters got their seasons off to starts of varying quality.
And after that, S1E6 of Severance.
And then I finished The Power. A very good book; it'll be interesting to see what the TV series is like
There's been more rain but it doesn't seem as windy as it was, though apparently it will become so overnight
Friday tomorrow!

Morning.
Friday.
Damp.
White sky.
Chilly in here at 13.4 deg, 13 deg in the kitchen, 12.5 deg in the leanto.
994 mBar, 29.353 in Hg, 745.56 Torr, 14.416 psi, (unchanged), 74% RH (GDR hair), 72% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 13th of May 2019 NF had assembled a five feet tall stack of periodicals for the recycling though he kept the issue of PCW with the review of one of his games from 1987, whilst I used the recently acquired etch tank to etch some pcbs. Said pcbs were drilled & assembled & tested over the following couple of days and have resided unregarded in a cardboard box in the junk room ever since. Plus la change as those Frenchies are wont to say.
I woke rather early due to a most unpleasant dream involving someone chained to a railway locomotive. The Spirit of Gricer was strong in this dream. .
Sun came out.
Changed to go out for a walk.
The rain started immediately. Ho fecking hum.
Inspired by something on Another Site, just dug out a Griffin & George geiger counter and made some measurements.
Background count is low (the Cobalt Thorium G is well shielded).
The uranium glass jug & saucer thing raises the count quite a lot.
The mantle in the camping gaz gas lamp is comparatively hot hot hot.
The mantle in the more recent Lidl(tm) gas lamp is inert.
Well there's a thing.
Sun's out again. Time for a walk.
Walk (abbreviated) walked in the very wan sunshine. It didn't rain.
Since it wasn't raining and next door's car wasn't in the carport the replacing of the ends of two joists took place. Should have made the 2nd one longer since the bit I joined it onto was also more or less rotten in parts. Ho hum.
Despite wearing protective glasses I've managed to get sawdust in my left eye. .
Lunch: scrambled egg and poached tomato on Morrisons sunflower and pumpkin seed toast, bramble jelly and marmalade on 3 slices of same, yellow corner yog, 0.91*1.51 pints of good Glengettie tea.
Entertainment: The Infinite Monkey Cage: how to commit the perfect murder.
Freecell score: 86%, running average 85% (85.17%).
Stone me, I'm knackered.
Tea: battered cod (chunky), the remainder of the peach slices, a yog, 0.91*1.55 pints of good Glengettie tea.
Entertainment: PM
Wheeler Dealers S10 E2 197213001600 xflow MkI Escort: bought £4k5, total: £8k5, sold: £11k8.
LS diff, changed the front drum brakes for Capri vented discs and struts (why didn't he use a spring compressor? and those bushes in the track control arms looked terminally fecked), replaced one of the front wings, replaced the seats, retrimmed the rear seats, painted it banana yellow to piss off Brewer , added a brake servo & dual circuit master cylinder, changed the interior for one that wasn't trashed.
Looks to be MOT free and taxed.
Coast & Country on ITV1. Tretower Court & Castle. Went there back in 1992 with my then lady friend. Have no recall whatever of the castle, but remember something of the court. I wonder if that was the day we went to see White Castle.
Gosh. I could just about visit Tretower by bus: T6 Neath to Brecon, X43 from Brecon to Tretower. Takes hours. I don't think I'll bother.
Who do you think you are? Anita Rani. Stone me, Partition. . Not one of Uncle Dickie's better accomplishments.
Dial 999: The Great Gold Robbery. Watched this one before: it's the Brinks Mat robbery 25 years before it happened. .
Baldrick walking from Lyme Regis to Somerset: England's Last Battle: The Duke of Monmouth.
Strangest things. Piltdown Man, The Thing (bug), The Difference Engine.

Morning denizens
Another sunny start, yet once again it'll supposedly be windy all day. It doesn't seem as windy as yesterday at the moment though. Currently 8°C, no better than 12° due later, and the barometers are still lurking at 983/991mB
