Two - two! - premieres tonight! First up was Macbeth (2015) which is so good that it's almost entirely made of quotations that you already know and either forgot or didn't realise came from there. That Shakespeare was pretty good at writing films for a man that lived four hundred years before they were invented
And then… well, it was Æon Flux (2005) which is a bit crap really, but there you go
Strewth it's a bit sunny out there & a bit cold with it.
Sunday shopping trip to Tesco & Morrisons done, dusted, washed, dried, sanitised, & put away, including the 2 litres of Southern Comfort at a very reasonable £36.
Lunch: roast chicken breast with lincoln sausage, a yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.
The sausage was nice, the rest of it was pretty much meh.
Time for a walk in the sunshine.
Walk (unabbreviated) walked in said sunshine.
Quite chilly out there & there's a lazyish wind.
Tea: Heinz tomato soup with a hint of chilli plus some Morrisons wholemeal sunflower & spelt bread that proved to be remarkably blue in parts , bramble jelly sandwich on the fresh version of same, some peach slices, a yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.
Entertainment: E4 of the current S of Doctor Who: I rather enjoyed this one without understanding much at all.
The Taste festival was good yesterday. It was nice going for the lunchtime / early afternoon session for a change as it can be a bit full of drunken idiots in the evenings.
We bought nice eatables such as chocolate, Dorset made charcuterie, coffee liqueur, cherry vodka, doughnuts.
One reason why there was not a plethora of left overs was because HWMBO had ordered a cook at home box from Home-X which did us for two meals over two nights. Very simple to put together and generous portions.
I'm hoping some restaurants do kits again for New Year as there were some cracking ones last year. However, I suppose they'll want punters in the restaurant rather than going through the faff of prepping and boxing stuff up.
