    Morning denizens

Grey start, 8°C but there's a slight breeze that feels quite chilly even in the attenuated form making it through the open bedroom window. Apparently 13°C is the best we can hope for, and it'll probably (80%) rain this afternoon; barometers roughly steady at 1005/1013mB

Thinking of going for an early walk, but not sure if I can be bothered. I'll see how I feel about it after coffee

      Morning all

It's dry but overcast at present. Currently 11 degrees with a high of 14 later and a moderate chance of rain this afternoon. Barometer up to 1018 mBar.

      Much coffee required this morning.

          Still grey here

The weather app claims there are showers, but there aren't, or not yet

Freshly baked croissant with berries and cherries jam for breakfast, although I timed it badly and I'm in meetings while it sits to the side wafting at me.

Just did a demo of the Big Complicated Thing to the Product Manager and others, and it worked!

Quite a relief as I hadn't checked it on staging yet

Anyway, they all seemed very pleased with it

It was only going to work if you did the demo immediately - if you had tested it first, guaranteed fail.

Ooh a different type of nonsense call. Answered the phone, automated voice says "you were called by Green Jelly Fish. All our advisers are busy at the moment but we will try to contact you again". Obviously an auto dialler that doesn't check there's an agent available.

Googled said company name and they appear to be R&D Tax Credit specialists based in Norwich.

A Google of the number suggests it's not that company at all, but rather a more sinister outfit. I added my experience to the pile.

I'm sure I've ranted about R&D tax people before - which sadly I can't claim as I'm the person who did all the work and I'm not paying myself for it.

Spicy instant noodles for lunch. Not as nice as others I've had but still better than a Pot Noodle.
