Big Meeting has ended. It was actually quite productive, I suppose, and I managed to get in right at the end with a question that everybody thought was really important and insightful, luckily without realising that as it's so important I should really have asked it three weeks ago

Most importantly, the information the managers wanted to glean from the meeting is what they need to convince the stakeholders to give us more time; and that means more extension for me if we get it

Are you moving away from triple cooked chips to air fried ones? I've always wondered how well they perform so will expect a full and detailed review in due course.

I'm going to work out how to do triple-cooked ones in the air fryer, and if they aren't good enough, I'll stick with the deep fat fryer for them

A recycling bin has been captured and reverse-trundled

He talked me through trying to relight the pilot light, but it didn't work so he's got on to the gas chap (the one who comes every year, and who installed my cooker) who can't make it until Monday afternoon. So it looks like I'll be washing myself in the kettle until then

Have you lost lots of weight or is your kettle more cauldron sized?

It is a right faff when things like that go. Hope it's a quick fix on Monday!
