Very wet outside. Managed to fix the ZUGFeRD problem.

I've had an oxtail stew cooking at a low heat in my Römertopf since 10am. My daughter made dumplings at lunchtime which I added an hours ago. Should be ready about now.

    So I'll go and check.

Edit: it was. We ate it. The dumplings were perfect, the stew was sublime. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. None left. Sorry.

Big black spider in the bathroom!

I decided it was almost certainly a species that doesn't normally live indoors, and therefore I'd be doing it a kindness by escorting it out of the kitchen window.

Dunno what House Spiders and Cellar Spiders who do live indoors eat. Never see anything obvious around.

I had one of those long-legged ones behind my bedside cabinet for ages. Never saw it catch anything in its web. After a few weeks it moved, I don't know where. A few weeks later it was back. Still never caught anything, then it left again

Similar story for others of that ilk at other secluded corners around the flat.

This involves getting up every few minutes to go over to the window, look to see if there's a Sainsbury's van anywhere out there, then sit down again.
