The source is the internet and YouTube like David Icke. Caller is refusing to say whether he believes if the Queen is a lizard.

I see Alan Bleasdale's The Black Stuff, which of course led on to Boys from the Black Stuff, is on BBC4 tonight, then on iPlayer. I've got it on DVD, but I can't remember whether Play for Today in those days was done on film or video; if the former, I suppose there's a chance they've rescanned it in HD, which would be good

Thinking about it, I've got a BFI box set containing a number of Alan Clarke's Play for Todays on Blu-ray (including the original, unbroadcast Scum) so at least some of them were on film.

It stopped raining for half an hour so I ventured out for a potch.

First potch was deepening and widening someone's half hearted attempt at draining a vast puddle in the back lane.

Having accomplished a little of that, it was time to put some boiled linseed oil on the shovel handle and put it away.

The second potch was taking some of the old wood from the roof down to the greenhouse to keep it dry so some pyromania might be performed at a later date.

There's a hell of a lot of nails in it.

It'll be big magnet time once the ashes are cooled.
