    Actually, XSLT isn't necessarily the best way to get the smilies, as parsing text nodes isn't really what it was intended for.

    Of course, I could use XSLT 2.0, I suppose.

          My Windows laptop has all this proxy stuff already set up running in Tomcat, but the power supply lead broke, the battery went flat, and I haven't sorted it out yet.

          That was over a year ago, when I bought my MacBook.

          Wonder if I've got a backup... probably... I actually needed the proxy for testing a mobile version of the site, using live data, without any connection to the client's network - I was working from home.
