Started yesterday afternoon / early evening (don't remember exactly) when I made the foolish error of wanting to walk into the kitchen.

Just spent a whole 8 quid on a USB to IDE hard disc converter. When the disk went wonky a few years ago I had backups of pretty well everything, except the database from Garmin Basecamp. Doubt I can recover it but would be nice to add to my mappy display thing of every footpath I've walked in last 10 years.
