I found the contrast between the Kapitan in the book & Jurgen Prochnow in the film a bit curious.

Lunch was a couple of montaditos - fancy pants way of saying a small baguette with yummy filling.

HWMBO had made some aubergine butter which is just lethal in its tastiness especially when spread on a freshly baked, crusty baguette and accompanied by a grated tomato topping. The other one was more tomato and lots of salchichon.
