Entertainment (continued): "Chasing the Moon" on BBC4, or how the USSR embarrassed the USA.
Their Germans were better than "our" Germans as a Septic once observed.
Dear old Wernher just appeared.
Ah.
My favourite bit: The 4 feet ascent of dear old Vanguard.
Undt now ve haf the Von Braun version, which worked.
"I aimed for the stars & sometimes hit London".
And now Von Braun has become a Septic.

Continuing the Glories of Soviet Science theme, tonight’s viewing was Chernobyl (TV Mini-Series 2019). I watched this last year and thought at the time that it definitely deserved a rewatch. Tonight, I thought I’d start that rewatch with the first episode, or maybe two… but it was so good that I watched the whole thing, all five hours. Brilliant stuff; it’s what tellies are for

Morning all
Dry.
Sunny.
White sky with blue bits.
Cold.
Smalls in the WM.
Shirts to go in next.
Must therefore be Friday.
<hiatus>
Smalls on the line.
Shirts in the WM, due out in 25 mins.
<hiatus>
Shirts in the TD, cottons in the WM.
Will this joy never end?
Shirts out of the TD and ironed (or as ironed as they're ever likely to get, not that Strangelove Mater would regard them as ironed at all).
Cottons about to go into the TD in a notional "7 minutes".Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 15 May 2020, 12:47.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment
