The bins, which hadn’t been done when I got back with the shopping at lunchtime, have now been done; and the recycling bin has been trundled back in
And then it turned out the black bins had been left out blocking the pavement again, so I trundled five of those back in to the area to which the bin operatives should have returned them, that being the minimum number that needed to be so trundled to leave the pavement navigable
And while I was bringing in the last of them, it started raining. Now I’m back indoors, it’s stopped againComment

Still raining here & the clouds are Going The Wrong Way, East to West rather than the officially approved West to East.
Tea: M&S non chunky cod fillet, since I'm short of milk there being a mere litre of so of the last half gallon left, no custard, so the stewed raspberries and stewed apple were joined by a yogurt and proved a good deal nicer today, rounded off with 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.
Entertainment: the final 3 programmes in Alister Cooke's America. When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

Watching Eight out Ten Cats that was aired sometime in January but I seem to have missed.
Not really paying much attention to it but it's good enough background.Comment

It appears I neglected to record my lunch so, for completeness, it was sardine toasties, made with sardines in olive oil. And then later on I had some chocolate biscuits, and some crisps; and the upshot was that I wasn’t that hungry this evening. So tea has just been Heinz tomato soup (my last tin!) with bread of both colours, and very nice it wasComment
