Gosh, wot a busy afternoon.

Refilled the bird feeders.
Fitted two smoke alarms.
Finally got around to making home made fat balls for the birdies using mealworms and some fat that was hanging about.
Discovered that mutton fat melts at a lower temperature*** than lard.
Well there's a thing.
And both of them stink.
Whenever Strangelove Grandmother was rendering down something or other in the oven*.
*A coal fired oven of course, none of that electrick** nonsense.
**Especially not a gas oven:

Tea: M&S chunky battered haddock, half a tin of fruit cocktail (The Man from Del Monte said yes apparently), the last of the eccles cakes from Sunday, 1.05 pints of good Glengettie tea.
