I don't recall seeing this before, but time will tell.
The evening's 2nd feature turned out to be "First Blood (1982)" with Sly Stallone looking extremely young.

First on the film front this evening was The Tourist (2010), in which a hapless American is drawn into gangster-related shenanigans. It was OK, but one did get the impression that it came about on the basis of "We'll put Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in Venice, and then… I dunno, stuff happens. Guns and boats and tulip" rather than "We've got this finely crafted story in a carefully chosen location; now let's find the right actors"
Also, Venice is a stupid idea. Build your cities on land, not in the Adriatic Sea FFS
After that, a rewatch of Unstoppable (2010), because sometimes only huge out-of-control trains will do
The last time I watched this, MS was stuck on a non-moving train. I assume that wasn't the case this time.
And then a further episode of SWAT featuring, among others, the actress who played Vic Mackey's wife in The Shield - though she is married to Shawn Ryan, creator of both series, so it's not too surprising she turns up in both.

Morning all.
Just turned off Will Self coz he was talking tulipe.
Grey.
Apparently not windy since the trees aren't waving about the way they were yesterday.
No current precipitation though it pissed down about half an hour ago.
Sunday. <- merely to show that I know what day it is.
<hiatus>
Beef it is aroasting.
The vac has had its outing around what little of the carpets are visible.
90% of the apples and 90% of the pears are now windfalls.
And thusly will decorate the compost heap shortly.
<hiatus>
Taps screen: is this thing fecked again?
Power cuts or what?

Roast beef was ok in its usual way.
The sense of something missing was revealed to be correct then the roasties and the roast onion were discovered in the oven after I'd eaten the rest.
Now sat down having a nice 1.05 pints of Good Glengettie Tea.Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 11 August 2019, 11:57.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment
