If you click on his name does it find more of his posts?

    It fails for me.

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
In other other news, more apples despatched to the compost heap: 7 buckets today so we're going in the right direction.

Lunch was poached tomato and scrambled egg on Morrisons pumpkin seeded toast.

They didn't have that in stock today so it's some other kind of Morrisons seeded bread instead from now on.

I get the "no matches" page when I do that on here, but on the version of the site running on one of my local machines, I get his last posts. Which is odd because it's the same code as is running on here, and the database is from a dump from the live one, just with personal information (email, passwords, PMs, and so on) all reset or cleared. None of that should affect the way the search works

Shut down the computer and came out on a big walk. We are currently looking at London- the city round to Wembley and on our to Heathrow. Turn around and through the Shoreham Gap I can make out the Channel. A nice evening to be out with The Dog (tw)

I'm sure you already know of it but sarf of the river there's a high bit (not Shooters Hill, further east) that you can see all the way out to the Thames estuary on a clear day. Now it's going to bug me and I'll have to look it up.

Thinking of Shooters Hill, there's the quaint folly, Severndroog Castle, which you can go up for about £2.50 and see for miles! They even have binoculars up there. Cute little tea room at the bottom too.

When TFL used to do their Walk London weekends, I did loads of the long countryside ones and they were great. The walk from Cockfosters to Turkey Street was muddy but great to do in January when it's not too hot. Such a shame they stopped them. Not sure if the scheme was only funded for a set time or if they became a victim of their own success.

Well having dug around my Google timeline and various other places, it seems I was talking complete tosh. Shooters Hill is the highest point in SE London. Now I'm left wondering what 'slight rise' we walked up but hey ho.

Oh and Severndroog Castle is now £3.50. A quid increase in three years.

Have you tried turning it off & turning it back on again?

This evening's repast was that thing I do with the remains of the Sunday roast with carrots & onions.

It was nice enough, followed by the very nice stewed blackberries and custard.

The evening's televisual feast began with that nice Larry Olivier telling us all about Operation Torch, the invasion of Sicily, the invasion of the toe of Italy, Casino, Monte Casino, and other joyous things including Anzio.

Mark Clarke was on there doing his excuses and Wynford Vaughn Thomas was there too.

I worked with a chap who'd been at Casino.

This was followed by Abandoned Engineering which was about the Nazi destroyer stuck in the side of a Norwegian fiiord, and that glacier bridge in Alaska.

After which I turned to "Gamer (2009)" with Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall, this last presumably when he wasn't analysing blood spatter.

                Gamer (2009) - IMDb

It was ok, from the same bunch who dreamed up "Crank".

In other other news, it's pissing down, much like the weather forecast forecast that it might.

Tonight's tea has been chicken bhuna, with the usual rice and naan. Lovely stuff

Suppose I ought to see about doing some trundling…

I'm thinking of stuff I can suggest to admin as a way of tracking down what's happening, but hopefully without turning things off

Mind you, I don't know if admin has time for it anyway

Trundling accomplished. It's still quite a fine night out there, though there's a thin layer of cloud veiling the Moon slightly as it hangs low in the south, the direction wherefrom the rain is forecast to approach
