Best thing (if you can get close enough to it) is to get some wasp foam and spray it in the hole. Put as much in there as you can then carefully walk away.

I'll leave them alone, they're not causing any problem at the moment.

If it's one of those globular nests it won't get very big.

They're probably getting ratarsed on the fermenting apples in the compost heap.

Said caterpillars have arrived on the previously pristine ragwort out the back.

It ain't exactly pristine any more.

I wonder if they were laid on it as eggs or wandered thence from whence they might have come.

If eggs they're certainly grown fast.

And with that, they've gone, strimmed to kingdom come by the gardener.

After last week's bleach episode it must be said that the machine smells a lot better than it did.

Found the wasp's nest, it's on top of a pillar just below the asbestos sheeting of the roof.

I'm going to leave it alone.

This afternoon, after lunch, it's time for another trip down the dump in an endlessly fruitless endeavour to make the place a bit more habitable and less like a man cave.
