Yesterday evening was probably them coming in at the end of the day.
Best thing (if you can get close enough to it) is to get some wasp foam and spray it in the hole. Put as much in there as you can then carefully walk away.
I'll leave them alone, they're not causing any problem at the moment.
If it's one of those globular nests it won't get very big.
They're probably getting ratarsed on the fermenting apples in the compost heap.
Found the wasp's nest, it's on top of a pillar just below the asbestos sheeting of the roof.
I'm going to leave it alone.
This afternoon, after lunch, it's time for another trip down the dump in an endlessly fruitless endeavour to make the place a bit more habitable and less like a man cave.
