29C out there. Curtains windows closed where they are facing the sun. Curtains and windows open where they are in the shade. Two of the 5 attic windows open.

Saw something quite sad in Morrisons.

Towards the end, after Strangelove Pater ended up in hospital, I was holding my mum's hand whenever we went shopping.

Today I saw a very elderly lady holding the hand of her 50 or 60 year old disabled son as they went around Morrisons.

I seemed to have something in my eye for quite a long time after that.

In fact it's just come back again.

And what happens to him once she can no longer cope?

23.5 deg in here at the moment.

The fridge is still struggling.

Today's book is "Austerity Britain 1945 - 1951" by David Kynaston.

I was fortunate in that Strangelove Sis did all that sort of stuff.

In other news, the WAG are changing the criteria for the free bus pass from 60 to Retirement Age.

Glad they waited until I retired.

Would have cost a fortune if I'd had to pay to go to work for the final 9 months.

At a guess, about £800, much more expensive than the train.
