Not too peckish this afternoon; don't fancy much for lunch
I had a couple of plums with my coffee for breakfast (Sainsbury's having been out of nectarines). Maybe plums are very filling?
Anyway, as a light snack is all I fancy, I'm baking the last of the frozen Greggs sausage rolls which has been cluttering up the freezer for far too longComment

X7 home again jiggety jig.
Only just caught it since it was more or less on time which was a tad unexpected.
Tea/dinner was more of yesterday's lamb with assorted veg, though it all seemed remarkably & unusually bland and sans NaCl.
Haven't decided what to watch this evening, I wonder if "Backtrace" is any good.
The Archers is currently reminding me of the joys of corporate life rather than that of a contractor.
Oh dear(tm), Freddy's On Top of the World, Ma.
Oh dear(tm)2, "Backtrace" appears to be crap.
Never mind, nothing ventured & all that. When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

Originally posted by NickFitz View PostI have that in my collection. Might relegate it to a mundane night like Tuesday in light of your review, rather than saving it for a weekend
Instead I watched "12 Strong(2018)" with Chris Hemsworth, Michael Pena (again but 10 years fatter), et al.
12 Strong (2018) - IMDb
It was rather good in a somewhat depressing sort of way.
Set in 2001 in Afghanistan.
Curious set of reviews on imdb.
Some of them seem too stupid to realise it's based on something that happened.Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 1 April 2019, 21:29.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

I haven't seen that one. Might add it to the listComment

This evening's classic comedy was Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), which comes after the first one. It jogged enough memories from time to time for me to know I've seen it before, many years ago, but I didn't remember any of the story. Good stuff in very much the same vein as the original
