There is if you put Marmite in it.

      Yes.

      I know.

      Please don't shatter my delusions.

Have to make the stuff taste of something FFS.

      It's quite expensive too.

In other news I had to oil the wheel on the wheelbarrow coz the squeak was driving me quietly insane.

The nearest oil was Hypoid EP90B.

      It worked rather well.

This evening's rather uninteresting epic is "Magnolia" which is some sort of weird episodic tulipe I can't understand.

3 whole fecking hours of it.

      Magnolia (1999) - IMDb

      Feck me, it's fecking endless.

      And the music.

The intermission for "The Good Place" was gratefully received.

Been out this afternoon introducing the Doggo to our regular pubs and getting her used to walking around town when its busy. She's been a star. Once over the initial nerves on the high street she didn't bat an eyelid and stayed calm and well behaved the whole time. This is a dog who had never been taken for a walk other than from her kennel to the exercise field at the RSPCA before we got her.

Now sleeping off the excitement in order to have the energy to eat her tea in a bit
        Good dog!

          Woof! Woof!

Dear Deity, there's another fecking hour of this crap.

          40 minutes now.

I still don't know wtf it's all about.

          Ah.

The producers made the mistake of thinking that the director could repeat "Boogie Nights".

          Ha fecking ha.

          Big mistake there then.

          25 minutes left.

          I'm dying here.

Oh. We've got to <spoiler> the rain of frogs </spoiler>.

          Only 20 minutes left.

          Feck me something's happening.

          Totally senseless, but something's happening.

Poor old Jason Robards, this crock of tulipe was his last film.

          Ingmar Bergman liked it apparently.

Which proves he was a feckwhit too.

          Thank Deity it's over.

7 fecking minutes or so of credits.

          FF

          Hurrah!

          No extras.

          No commentary.

Tonight's tea has been roast ham, fresh from the oven, with chips, beans, and fried egg

And to accompany it, some stuff about bad weather on one of the innumerable Channel 4s that lurk in the double-digit airwaves

I had leftover gammon and turkey, mash (with decadent leftover double cream), peas and ketchup. Probably nicer than actual Christmas dinner.

As is traditional at this period of confusion over what day it is, I forgot it was bin day tomorrow, so the recycling bin hasn't gone out

I'm planning to do the shopping tomorrow morning, so I can probably still get it out in time

                Goodnight all

                  Odd.

Yesterday's collection is retimed to Sunday morning here.

Doesn't that sort of thing happen with you?

Nice bit of overtime for the refuse disposal engineers.

And next Thursday's black bag collection is retimed to Saturday.

Of course, in Swansea you'd go to the rack if you got it wrong.

15 deg in the living room, about 10 deg in the laundry room.

Much drier in there now the dehumidifier is going.

Sounds like HMV are going down the tubes again.

Happy New Year as they say.

                    Morning denizens

Fairly grey out, but with a bit of thin sunshine getting through

Just checked, and it turns out today's collections have been moved to tomorrow

One less thing to bother about this morning

Feeling a bit odder than usual, maybe I've caught Strangelove Sister's lurgie from Monday & Tuesday.

I have now reached the stage where I really don't know what day it is any more.

Margaret Thatcher is still PM, but she seems to have changed a bit.
