Lunch was, once again, Heinz(tm) baked beans on toast.

Damn they do keep you regular though.

    Living the dream.

    Bored.

    Now.

Beginning to wonder if I've gone deaf because there's so little noise from the road.

Stone me, Xogg, that really is, er, remarkable.

      Afternoon denizens

      Looooong sleep last night

But today I feel somewhat better and, for the first time in days, have a temperature range below 100: 98.4°F on the right, 99.8°F on the left

Still don't feel 100%, but it's definitely a step in the right direction; and about time too

Hmm. Temperature back up to 100.9°F. Eating that health-giving nectarine was clearly a bad idea; I should stick to sausages

Look like a completely clear sky tonight in SE - might get to see a bit of that meteor shower at last.

Update: Bah. Shouldn't have said that. Looked nice and blue from office window a bit earlier but now it's clouding up.

Supposedly there's an Xmas comet too.

This afternoon's epics have including a trip to the dump with a dead vac, plastic sheeting, building oiks' discarded cans, plasterboard, assorted crap.

The recycling place seems to be getting more and more picky about what you can dump & where you can dump it.

Followed by some gardening which has involved chopping down the remains of the flox*, pruning the roses (i.e. choping them down within an inch of their life) and raking some moss.

*Apparently not flox but phlox, much as flem is spelled phlegm for no readily apparent reason.

And so it came to pass. Sausages in soft white rolls for lunch, and extremely nice they were

No idea if they'll affect my temperature, which the Ancient Greeks would have ascribed to a lack of phlegm. There hasn't actually been any lack thereof, but apparently we use the word to denote something different from whatever that one of the four humours was supposed to be: Humorism - Wikipedia

Cos I've got a van I have to display this big bit of paper on my windcsreen and show them my driver's licence.

They've got a new trick now, there's a recently tarmaced area where you have to sort binbags of household waste into small containers instead of chucking it into the black bags only skip.

Apparently this will improve the amount of recycling.

Swansea, being Swansea, are going full fuss for fining people if they fail to recycle stuff.

Nothing new since they've been fining people for putting their bins out on the wrong day for decades.

This evening's first feature is "Things to do in Denver when you're dead" with Christopher Walken, Andy Garcia, and Christopher Lloyd:

Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995) - IMDb

It's taking its time to get going.

                  'Twas ok in the end.

This evening's 2nd feature is: "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" with Chris "Wigless War Criminal" Pine, Kevin Costner and Ken Branagh.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014) - IMDb

I am not finding it over gripping.

It needed a bit of the old FF during some of it.

                  It's over now, thank feck.

Now watching the tedious bonus crap.

Which is even less (or fewer) interesting than the film was.

Maybe Zack and Mimi make a porno might have been a better choice.

                      And very nice it was

They were quite busy - not with other customers-in-person, but with delivery orders. Whether or not this was due to Christmas, I don't know
