The more observant amongst you may have noticed the lack of updates from Manchesto over the last few weeks.
I was on my annual family retreat to Franceland
which was very nice but I am back now.
So updates will resume.

After years of idiocy combining 4:3 monitors with 16:9 monitors on a dual monitor setup, I've now switched to two 16:9 monitors and 2 4:3 monitors.
It makes stuff ever so much easier.
I sorted the left right thing out at the same time.
So that's a bit more logical too.
It used to confuse the eyetea guys when the cursor exited stage right only to appear stage left on the left hand monitor.
I got used to it.
The aspect ration thing was even funnier.
If you have a strange sense of humour.
All the kit in the lab is now on the floor so the sparky oiks can wire up the benches.
It's all go in the slough of despond today.
Oh, and the desk I've been given has no drawers.

Oh well, day 2 of permy-dom.
I'm still in the Worcester office - which is nice!
However I'm leaving at 3pm to drive back to Manchester. Bolton office for the rest of the week.
