Home again. THIS UNIVERSE SEEMS A BIT LOUD ALL OF A SUDDEN
It's the little things that stand out at the moment, like the thunderous sound of the car unlocking when I pressed the button. And, judging by a quick blast of the start of Blood on the Tracks just now, the speakers in this MacBook Air are considerably better than I thought, even if the keyboard sounds like a heavy duty mechanical press of some kind
And my own voice seems unutterably loud. Mind you, people have been complaining about that for years

He demonstrated how the hearing aids automatically adapt to different circumstances. They have three modes by default: conversation in a quiet environment, conversation in a noisy environment ("party mode"), and listening to music. I played some stuff on my phone to trigger the last of these, and it turns out the speakers in an iPhone 6 are a lot better than I thought, too. Also, he said it's the first time one of his clients has used the works of Tom Lehrer and Philip Glass to test that mode outOriginally posted by NickFitz View PostHome again. It seems the TV only needs to be at about two-thirds of the volume I've been using
Good job the flats are well sound-insulated from each other; either that, or my neighbours have been too polite to complain

Just "The Elements" - no need to freak him out, though on reflection, playing "The Masochism Tango" might have given him a joltOriginally posted by DoctorStrangelove View Post"Poisoning Pigeons in the Park" or "The old dope peddler"?
