You made the right choice according to someone I follow on Twitter, who said towards the end of it "I don't know what this Radio 4 comedy is, but I'm finding it actively stressful."

I'm so far along the path to humourless old fart that I sometimes simply can't decide if it's just that or if almost everything really is crap these days.

Then I remember that it's 40 (yes, four zero) years since the highlight of the comedy universe was H2G2.

Early night for me, as I need to be at the audiology place for 8:15 in the morning

It's only about twenty minutes away on foot, but it's still an earlier start than I've been used to for the last couple of months

              Goodnight all

Slightly cooler in here this morning, 19.9 Lidl(tm) degrees C against 20 and a bit yesterday.

The bedroom window was firmly shut overnight to avoid howling cats and excessive chill, which seems to have worked rather well.

Just off to check the laundry room min/max thermometer.

17.6 degrees C today against 16. something yesterday.

                Brrrrrrr.

Almost chilly walking staggering to the station this morning.

Not quite shirtsleeves weather it must be said.

If it's anything like yesterday it'll be unpleasantly warm on the stagger down the hill to the station.

Shopping list for this afternoon in progress.

                  Morning denizens

                  Sunny start again

The forecast offers the possibility of thunderstorms this afternoon, but is gradually winding the probability down. My forecast is that all chance of them will have been rescinded by lunchtime
