For tea tonight: chicken tikka masala out of the freezer, with the usual bits

Tonight's entertainment, in honour of the anniversary of D-Day, was Saving Private Ryan (1998). The battle scenes are good, but I suspect it's only so highly praised because of the big names involved. As war films go, there are better ones.

      Goodnight all

The porn parody 'Shaving Ryan's Privates' was quite good too.

Still overcast here, but Millie has a friend staying today. Teasel is a black working cocker and will be best man at a wedding we are going to this summer (where Millie is his +1)
He also doesn't know it yet, but his owners are taking a holiday next week and their usual dog sitter is away, so he's coming to stay here.
Today is a test day to see how he gets on (we know he'll be fine). So far he's sat at the front door and whined a little, had a good run round the garden, said hello to the chickens and put his scent on one of the trees.

Oh Deity, the place is swarming with skoolkids again.

Last evening's less than epic epics were last Sunday's "Hawaii 50", set in a mental hospital, and "NCIS LA" set in the mental hospital that is LA.

Fast forward increased the entertainment value of each.
                When the fun stops, STOP.

Sunny day in Mancunia. Minimal breeze too; thank goodness for aircon in the office.

Crap day due today, the week has been too kind so far.

My opinion of Teasel is increasing.
The furry-tailed vermin came back. My first shot got it out of the tree, the second shot killed it. I let the dogs into the garden. Teasel found it. Gave it a shake to confirm it was dead. Gave it a bite so that there was a crack and crunch of bones, ran around the garden, found a piece of ground with nothing planted in it, dug a hole and buried the squirrel and covered the body so that only the tip of its tail was showing.

Maybe it's time to see what he's like with larger vermin. You know the kind I mean
