          Polleny here. <sneeze cough wheeze>

Some choice turns of phrase in Rashid v Munir & Ors [2018] EWHC 1258 (QB) (22 May 2018): "…a festival of mendacity", "…a rich display of competitive dishonesty", "…businesses the details of the operation and profitability of which were but lightly touched upon in the tax returns of the defendants."

              Bacon cob for lunch

It's brightening up a bit out there now from time to time, having turned a bit Simpsonsesque

And how did the esteemed member of the equally esteemed congregation discover this remarkable judgement?

Via HeliCraig (who no longer congregates here, but exists under a different name on Twitter) - no idea how he found it, he just liked the language too

Yes! And then there's "The judge warned the parties that he intended to send a transcript of his judgment together with the case papers to the Director of Public Prosecutions. My inquiries have revealed that, in the event, this was not done. That is an omission which this Court intends to put right."
