    Yes.

It's a bit of a Saga, all in all.

    See wot I did there?

Currently waiting a) for the tumble drier to stop (it's on it's ever decreasing asymptotic approach to zero) and b) for the appointment with the Doctor (Non Strangelove) to have a bit hacked off my back, exquisitely positioned exactly where I can't see it without 2 mirrors.

I hope to be able to walk following this last.

The local anaesthetic injections were almost as painful as the cautery.

I love the smell of burning pork in the morning.

              Nah.

              Burning pork.

              Quite unpleasant really.

              It sizzled a bit though.

Shopping done, in the pouring rain which settled in early and doesn't look like budging any time soon

And now I've only gone and put the washing on, meaning I'll have much of the regular weekly burden of chores done and dusted before lunch

And it's All Refuse Collection, All The Time out the back. The recycling bins had been done before I went out. Coming back, I had to wait down the side road, moving forward a few yards every minute or two, as the household waste people did their thing. Then, as I was parking the car, the bulk waste people appeared out of nowhere and started carting off some old bits of furniture that have been lying around out there for ages, a year or more in some cases; the mattress in particular has been developing a very fine coat of bright green lichen.
