Tonight's feast for the senses was Collateral (2004), about a cab driver who finds himself stuck ferrying a hitman around Los Angeles; and I thought it was pretty darn good, actually

And then on to season four of The Americans.

    Goodnight all

          Morning all

Bloody cold first thing this morning. Had to take advantage of the remote start on the car to warm it up before venturing out.

Can tell the schools are back. An extra 30 minutes on the trip to Client Co. this morning. Still, all being well it's only another couple of months on this gig and then back up to Leeds for a spell.

Failing that I may just chuck this one in come March and take a few months off over Spring / Summer.

Still, at least the suns out and the office is warm.

The weekends entertainment involved a trip to Cardiff to visit Son and for Mrs. B to attend a lecture for her OU course. Made the mistake of trying to save a few quid on the Hotel and going for the Premier Inn. Was OK but the breakfasts have gone down hill and it's all a bit impersonal now with automated checkin's etc.

Having been going to Cardiff on and off for 5 or 6 years now it's come on hugely. Got some really nice places to eat and drink and plenty going. Always feels like a very friendly city.

Son and I amused ourselves for a couple of hours here while waiting for Mrs B. https://adventuregolf.com/ which was surprisingly good fun and an impressive set up.

If you are ever in Cardiff I can recommend Bar 44 for Tapas. great food but the Pigeon with Lentils was especially good.

Steak of the Art is also good for basic Steaks, Burgers etc but done very, very well and with the bonus of being able to eat while sat inside a Dalek, should you so wish. They also have an art gallery if that's your kind of thing.

And probably the best pub in Cardiff, Tiny rebel, tap house for the Brewery of the same name. Large selection of very good beers, not just their own, plus good pub grub and friendly knowledgeable staff who will happily talk about beer for as long as you want to.
