Might have to light the fire in the office. A tad chilly.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

"Outside of the production environment, the project team should have full access to the system"
Fairly standard, what I'm used to.
4 weeks ago I discovered I didn't have access to a fairly crucial application. Turns out only one member of the project team had. She requested that security be taken off that app for all the project team.
Pretty much every day for the last 4 weeks there has been 2-3 emails a day from the security team asking us to check if the fix they have just done has fixed it. It hasn't yet. We've told them what needs to be done. They won't do that. They ask us to test, we tell them it doesn't work and then we ask them what they did. They won't say.
Shortly I will send a message to the manager who signs my timesheets to the effect of "do you know how much you are paying me a day to do these tests because your security specialists are useless?" These emails normally kick him into action.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Raining outside. Bloody freezing. Finally getting over my head cold and my nose has stopped leaking.
On the bench 3 months now, never thought it would be this long.
Still, Pea & Ham soup with Wheat Crunchies (Bacon) for lunch.
As you were.
qhHe had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.
I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.
