The mistake they are making is that I did a lot of baby sitting in my late teens and early 20s so I learnt then to answer the same question the same way without swearing at the child asking the question. Unfortunately we aren't in the same location so I can't bribe them with something or convince them they want to run around to distract them.

I well remember coding in my head as I trudged up the hill behind my house, long long ago when I still coded for a living in FORTRAN IV.

I had an epiphany on how to approach something on the GA16-220 with its limited memory.

It worked too, rather better than the way I'd approached it in "work" that day.

IIRC it had something to do with processing datalogging floppies or somesuch.

Back when I was doing the games, I solved one thorny problem while waiting for a traffic light to change on my pushbike heading to the pub
