I thought after I moved from the city there would be no return. Unbelievably someone is very interest in me - an enormous contract rate.

That reminds me, I was heading into Harrogate this morning down a very tight but national speed limit type road with hedges right up to the roadside. The type of road you need to concentrate on a multitude of different things at one time. I came round a sharpish left hand bend, making sure to hug the kerbside, at about 40mph and just had chance to stop accelerating when I went straight over a lady pheasant which was strutting out to see the male standing right in the middle. The male escaped. The female was turned into a shower of feathers. The white van man up my jacksie backed off a little. Forgot to check whether it was embedded in the grille or not when I parked upOriginally posted by zeitghost View PostSpotted this year's first squashed toad on the road this morning.
I hope it was quick.

White van man was clearly distracted by the forthcoming NIC changes and not at all interested in roadkill.Originally posted by vetran View Postwhite van man now has half a brace of pheasants if he had any sense.

I got both wheels over the top of a badger on an unlit road one dark night - no sign of the fecker the next morning. You'd have thought it would have been road carpet...Comment
