Oh and I had an argument with the lady doing my DBS over names. The actual paper form says what other names are you known by but it seems the company doing it electronically have a difficultly understanding this.

Have thrown out 4 boxes of trifle mix and 8 packets of jelly (bbe 2007-2014). Have kept the ones that are <= 12 months out of date, as I will soon have the fridge space to make jelly and trifle.

Prompted by MS's reference to out of date jelly yesterday, I leapt into action and made a lovely raspberry jelly incorporating the frozen raspberries picked in 2015.

It was very nice.

Sadly, the jelly was still in date.

In fact, I can't see why it should go out of date, being made of gelatine from hooves, bones etc.

Just thought I'd share that.

Interestingly (?) enough, freezing doesn't kill them and they have sprouted enthusiastically all over the place from some that got thrown away when the previous freezer died.
